2.How is the MP3 player connected to the computer?

3.Are you unable to transfer files to the player?

Thank you for your response. Here are the answers to your questions.

1. no I do not

2. There is a USB cable, Mini USB on one end plugged into the play. Standard USB on the other end which is plugged into my PC. I do see the player in the control panel devices window.

3. Yes I am unable to transfer or copy anything to the device.

Certain mp3 players show up as separate a drive letter in Explorer when connected, and certain players (such as Microsoft Zune) needs software to add/remove the songs from the player. If you don't get an answer here, you may contact the respective vendor, to know if the device supports copying mp3s directly using Explorer.

I had the same problem. Turns out -in case you didn't know, I sure didn't- You MUST have an SD card for it. If you don't, it wont hold anything.

I had the same problem. Turns out -in case you didn't know, I sure didn't- You MUST have an SD card for it. If you don't, it wont hold anything.

I would add to this that, at least with the player I have, you have to pull the USB cord out of the player in order for the player to work.
